An element looks or behaves wrong
Fix the element problems that come up most often. Before you start, test the element on a new empty page to rule out the surrounding content.
My row layout breaks when I hide it on some devices
The Responsive Visibility choices under HTML classes are
Bootstrap display classes, such as d-none d-md-block. On a row
they replace the row's own layout, so the columns stack. Put the
classes on the columns, or on the section around the row.
The console says Bootstrap needs a jQuery lower than version 4
Your theme loads Bootstrap 3 or 4 JavaScript, which refuses to run with the jQuery 4 that recent Drupal 11 releases ship. DXPR Builder itself does not use jQuery.
- Stop loading Bootstrap 3 or 4 JavaScript from the theme.
- If the theme does not load Bootstrap 5, go to DXPR Studio > DXPR Builder > General Settings > Bootstrap and set Sideload Bootstrap files to Bootstrap 5.
Note: the module supports Bootstrap 5 only. A theme on Bootstrap 3 or 4 needs to be migrated.
My columns misalign at tablet width
The grid has 12 columns, so five columns cannot be equal. Click the row's grid icon and pick a preset such as 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 or 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3. To give tablets their own layout, click Add screen size and pick the size from its list.
A link inside my Link element does nothing
The Link element is itself an a tag, and browsers do not allow
links inside links. Use a Button, or a Text element with a link.
Anchor links land under my fixed header
- Go to General Settings and open Advanced Settings.
- Set Scroll offset selector to the CSS selector of your fixed header. The default covers DXPR Theme headers.
- Give the target element an HTML ID in the General panel of its settings.
My video does not start on its own
Browsers refuse to start a video with sound. In the Local video settings, tick Muted next to Start playing automatically and save.
A block inside my page has no editing controls
A DXPR Builder block placed inside a builder page shows without its own editor, so you cannot change its content there. Edit the block where it sits in a theme region at Structure > Block layout, or use an HTML element instead.
Exposed filters on a View do nothing
The editor shows "Turn on Ajax on this view to use exposed filters." Filters inside the builder work only through AJAX.
- Edit the View and open Advanced.
- Set Use AJAX to Yes and save the View.
- Clear all caches.
Script tags disappear from my Text element
The builder removes <script src> tags from every element except
the HTML element. Put embeds and scripts in an HTML element. If
Apply text format filters to frontend content is on, the
field's text format must allow the tags as well.
My Content Security Policy blocks the editor
Builder content keeps its styling in inline style attributes,
and with Asset source set to Cloud the editor scripts load
from https://cdn2.dxpr.com. Allow 'unsafe-inline' in
style-src, and allow https://cdn2.dxpr.com in script-src and
style-src.
Confirm the fix
Save, then check the element with View mode set to Preview and as an anonymous visitor in a private window.
