Glossary
Key terms used throughout the DXPR Builder documentation.
A
A/B Test (Split Test) : A method of comparing two or more versions of content to find which performs better. In DXPR Builder you add variant arms to an element; the optional RL module runs the test.
AI Agent : The AI panel on each container's control bar (Cmd/Ctrl + .). It takes plain-language instructions to create, rewrite or translate content.
AI Output Filter : A filter that cleans AI-generated HTML: it keeps only allowed tags and removes URLs outside the allowed domains, against data-leak attacks such as CVE-2025-32711. Configure it under AI Output Filtering on the AI settings page.
Animation Tab : The Animation section of element settings: when the animation starts (on appear, hover, click or a trigger), the in and out effects, duration, delays and repeat.
B
Bootstrap : The CSS framework (version 5) that DXPR Builder uses for its grid system, components, and utility classes.
Builder Profile : A configuration entity that limits, per role, the elements, blocks, views, templates, icon sets and text editor buttons editors see. Listed as User Profiles in the admin menu.
C
CKEditor : The rich text editor, CKEditor 5, that DXPR Builder ships for editing text on the page and in settings fields: headings, links, lists and other formatting.
Clone : Create an exact copy of an element, including all its settings and content, right after the original. See Duplicate an element with Clone.
Container : The top-level DXPR Builder region on a page that wraps all editable content. Each content field enabled for DXPR Builder becomes a container.
Content Element : A draggable component (Text, Image, Button, Card, etc.) that holds visible page content, as opposed to layout elements that define structure.
Credits : The unit for AI feature usage in DXPR Builder. Credits are consumed by text editing, page creation, and image generation operations. Monitor remaining credits at DXPR Studio > DXPR Builder > AI.
D
Drag and Drop : The primary interaction method for placing and rearranging elements in DXPR Builder.
DXPR Studio
: The admin menu section at /admin/dxpr_studio that
groups all DXPR Builder configuration pages.
E
Element : Any component in DXPR Builder, whether content (Text, Image) or layout (Section, Row, Column).
Element Settings : The configuration modal that opens when you choose Settings from the More menu (or press Enter). Contains panels such as General, Style, Hover style, Animation, and element-specific panels.
H

K
Kavya
: The DXPR AI models: DXAI Kavya M1 (kavya-m1, best
quality, the default), DXAI Kavya M1 EU (kavya-m1-eu,
privacy-focused, served by MistralAI) and DXAI Kavya
M1 Fast (kavya-m1-fast, fastest, lower quality).
L
Layers Mode : A view mode that replaces the page with an outline of its elements, so you can select and drag nested or hard-to-reach elements. Toggle with Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+Y.
Layout Element : Structural components (Section, Row, Column, Tabs, Collapsibles, Carousel and Positioned Layers) that define page structure and contain content elements.
P
Page Template
: A ready-made full-page layout that editors insert from
the builder's template library. Managed at
/admin/dxpr_studio/dxpr_builder/page_template.
Power User Mode : A view mode that shows the controls of every element at once, each labelled with the element's HTML ID. Toggle with Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+U.
Preview Mode : A view mode that hides all editing controls to show how the page will look to visitors. Toggle with Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+P.
R
Row : A Bootstrap grid row that contains columns. Rows define horizontal groups of content.
S
Section : A full-width page section that serves as the top-level structural element. Sections contain rows and columns.
Style Tab : The Style section of element settings: spacing, borders, background colour and image, text colour, font size, corner radius, opacity and shadow. Hover style holds the same settings for the hover state.
T
Template : A saved layout (page template or user template) that can be reused across content.
U
User Template

private to its author or global, shared with every
