Adding an Alert
You get a coloured banner that pulls the eye to one short message. Use it for deadlines, maintenance notices or sale news that visitors must not miss.

Add an alert
Open your page while logged in: the builder controls appear when you hover the content area. Your first page shows the basics.
- Hover the column and click + in its control bar, or click Add Elements on an empty page. Open the Content tab and click Alert. It lands at the top of the column and its settings dialog opens.
- Choose a Type to set the colour. Here we pick Warning.
- Replace the placeholder text in Message with your notice.
- Click Save in the dialog. Then click Save in the toolbar at the top of the content area to store the page.
What you see
A coloured banner spans the column and shows the message you typed. In the video, the Warning type makes it yellow. Visitors see it once you save the page and it is published.
Set up your alert
Hover the element and open More > Settings in its control bar. Options:
- Message: the text in the banner. Add bold text, links or a heading with the editor toolbar.
- Type: the colour of the banner: Success, Info, Warning or Danger.
You can also click the alert text on the page and edit it in place.
If you don't see it
- Alert is not in the Content tab. Your user profile hides it. Ask an administrator to enable it in User Profiles.
- It is gone after you reload. The page was not saved. Add it again and click Save in the toolbar at the top of the content area.
- The alert still shows sample text. A new alert starts with placeholder text. Click the text on the page, or hover the element and open More > Settings, and type your message.
- The alert is a thin, empty bar. The Message field is empty. Hover the element and open More > Settings, then type your message.
- The alert has the wrong colour. The Type sets the colour. Hover the element and open More > Settings, then pick Success, Info, Warning or Danger.
