Revisions per site

See each site's override revisions beside the content's own, and compare a site's version with the canonical one.

Needs Sites Diff

Part of Sites Diff. It works with the Diff module and Content overrides, and covers content items only.

A site that adjusts shared content saves its version as override revisions.

Before you start

  • For the Revisions tab: the permission to view the content's revisions, like Article: View revisions.
  • For Manage overrides: Override site content.

Revisions grouped by site

  1. Open the content's Revisions tab.
  2. Below the content's own revisions, find the table of the site, under its name. It lists the site's override revisions, newest first: date, author, log message and moderation state, with View. You see a site's table only where you may override the content on that site, or with Administer sites.
  3. Choose one revision under Source revision and one under Target revision, from any of the tables.
  4. Click Compare selected revisions.

The Revisions tab of a page: below the content's own revisions, the table of Acme's override revisions under the site's name, with Source revision, Target revision and View, then Compare selected revisions.

A site's override revisions below the content's own revisions.

Compare an override with canonical

  1. On the hub, open the content's Manage overrides tab.
  2. On the row of a site whose Status reads Overridden, click Compare with canonical.

The comparison shows the latest canonical revision and the site's latest override revision, field by field.

To restore an older override revision, use the site's own revision history (Adjust content for one site).
