Sites path alias¶
Ties every URL alias to one site, where it answers: Valtora and Hydrion can
each have an /about, one for About Valtora, one for About Hydrion. A
content item has an alias on each site it belongs to and loses the alias of a
site it leaves. An alias without a site matches nowhere for site content, and
on every site for other paths, like a view. Each site lists its own aliases
in its URL aliases section. With Pathauto on,
Sites Pathauto installs itself and generates the aliases
per site.
Install¶
Ships with Sites; with that project in the codebase:
drush en sites_path_alias
Requires Sites, path_alias (core), views (core).
Configure¶
- Aliases that existed before the install have no site. Sites status
(
/admin/sites/reports/status) counts those of site content; its Review them link lists them. Give each a site, or let Pathauto generate them anew. - To let a site's people manage its aliases, grant Administer URL aliases
in a per-site role. They work in the site's
URL aliases section (
/admin/sites/{site}/path, Search and metadata group of the dashboard; Your site's aliases).
An alias cannot start with /preview/, on the hub or on a site:
Sites preview serves its previews there.
