Sites path prefix

Serves sub-sites under a path prefix on their main site's hostname, like Hydrion UK at www.hydrion.example/uk and Hydrion US at www.hydrion.example/us. Such a sub-site needs no DNS entry and has no hostname of its own: a request whose path starts with its prefix reaches the sub-site, every other path the main site. A sub-site may answer on a hostname of its own instead; then it has no prefix. Without the module, every sub-site has a hostname of its own.

Install

Ships with Sites; with that project in the codebase:

drush en sites_path_prefix

Requires Sites.

Configure

The Path prefix sits on a sub-site's Identity section, after its Main site and Address. Enter it when you create the site with Structure set to Sub-site and Address to Under the main site's hostname; the wizard proposes one from the name. A prefix is unique on the platform, and a site type has no default for it (Sub-sites lists the rules). Changing it later moves every address of the sub-site, and nothing redirects the old ones.

Settings
