Remove a compound

A compound cannot be deleted while fields, parent compounds or deleted data still use it.

Deleting a host field removes its content

Back up the database. After Drupal purges deleted field data, content revisions cannot restore its values.

Retire Conference session

1. Review Conference session's uses under Structure → Compound fields, including parent compounds.
2. Delete each host field through its bundle's Manage fields. Remove parent references through the supported structural-change workflow.
3. Run normal cron, or drush cron, to purge deleted field data. Large fields may need several batches.
4. Return to Compound fields. If deletion is disabled, resolve the stated reason. Never bypass pending-data refusals by editing configuration.
5. Once no uses or pending data remain, select Delete and confirm.

Unused new compounds can skip field deletion and purge.
