WissKI SPARQL 1.1 adapter

The wisski_adapter_sparql11_pb module provides an adapter for interacting with a SPARQL 1.1 endpoint. SPARQL is a query language for RDF databases, and this module allows Drupal to communicate with such databases.

Installation

The module depends on wisski_core, wisski_salz, wisski_autocomplete and wisski_pathbuilder. The main WissKI module depends on this adapter, so enabling WissKI enables it.

Configuration

Adapters are edited at Configuration → WissKI → WissKI Salz Adapters. Choose the SPARQL 1.1 with Pathbuilder engine and set the endpoint, the graph and the pathbuilder.

An annotation field is written by this engine as an RDF 1.2 reifier on the path that lists it. The triples tab adds an Annotations table when the open URI is the subject, predicate or object of such a triple. A store that rejects triple terms keeps the incoming and outgoing tables and stores no annotation.

The module contains several components:

  1. Field Formatters: The module provides several custom formatters, such as WisskiEidFormatter, WisskiLinkFormatter, and WisskiFullTextFormatter.

  2. Controller: It has controllers for auto completion, SPARQL endpoint handling and showing triples of the WissKI entity.

  3. Engine: It provides access to a SPARQL 1.1 endpoint and is configurable via a Pathbuilder. It extends the functionality of the Sparql11Engine from the wisski_salz module.

  4. Query It builds and manages SPARQL queries for the WissKI system in Drupal.
