Review word timing¶
Review word intervals after editing transcript text or importing provider output.
Alignment states¶
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Measured | A source result supplied the word interval |
| Retained | Timing has been explicitly retained or confirmed during editing |
| Estimated | Timing is approximate evidence |
| Stale | A change requires timing review before the old interval is trusted |
| Untimed | No suitable word interval is known |
Only suitable measured and retained word intervals drive synchronized word highlighting. Real utterance ranges can still support playback and caption fallback when individual words are untimed.
Confirm affected words¶
After correcting a transcript, open Review word timing. Inspect the word, its alignment state, and the start/end interval against the source. Confirm or correct the affected intervals explicitly.
Timing review shows 50 tokens per page. Tables scroll horizontally on small screens. Confirmation updates the word interval and alignment state while preserving text and token identity.
Coordinate conventions¶
Canonical timestamps are integer milliseconds in the original, untrimmed, original-speed media. Character offsets count Unicode code points, and token text must match its mapped span exactly.
Absent start/end values and absent character spans are paired null values. Timing order and containment anomalies are retained as warnings for review.
The public document defines timing and character spans for imports and exports.
