Configuration¶
The module has no settings page. It uses each image field's own Maximum image dimensions setting.
- Go to Structure » Content types and choose Manage fields for a content type.
- Edit an image field.
- Under Maximum image dimensions, enter a width and height in pixels, for example
2400×2400. - Save the field settings.
The same setting applies to image fields on other entity types, such as users, media types, taxonomy terms and paragraphs, with core's Image widget or a widget built on it, such as Focal Point's. For the Media Library, set it on the media type's image source field.
Which fields are affected¶
| Field | Result |
|---|---|
| Image field with a maximum, core Image widget or one built on it | Images larger than the maximum are resized in the browser |
| Image field without a maximum | Not affected. The original is uploaded |
| File field | Not affected. Core's automatic upload is unchanged |
| Media Library's upload form, for an image media type whose source field has a maximum | Resized in the browser |
Any other managed_file element with a FileImageDimensions maximum |
Resized in the browser. See Extending |
The Minimum image dimensions setting is not used by this module. The server still checks it.
