Get WissKI Instance

Take your first steps in the WissKI ecosystem by getting your own WissKI instance. There are two main ways of installing WissKI:

  1. Containerized installation via Docker. This is the recommend way of installing WissKI, as it does not require a lot of technical know-how.
  2. "Bare Metal" installation. We generally do not recommended to install WissK this way, as this installation procedure is quite technical and prone to misconfiguration.

If you're not comfortable installing WissKI yourself, you can also get a pre-configured test instance for free at the WissKI Cloud, which is hosted by IGSD e.V.. After the testing phase IGSD also offers permanent hosting of WissKI instances.

There are also other WissKI hosting providers that offer WissKI for academic institutions like e.g. CDI, which hosts WissKIs for the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg.
